Baby Eating Less At 3 Months
3 months baby sleeping longer at night 4-5 hours and feeding less than usual, around 3 1/2oz- 4oz, she used to take 5oz.. She breastfeeds?
May be ok: As long as a 3 month-old baby is happy, interactive, gaining weight, not fussy; and has no ill signs such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or rashes, then he may be normal (because babies change their eating and sleeping habits as they grow). A 3 month-old baby can sleep 6-7 hours at night. The amount he breastfeeds is usually unknown (isn't measured). The doctor can re-check his weight and length. ...Read more

7 week old baby eats two ounces with added rice every three hours born at 36 weeks 7lbs now 9lbs 3 oz also severe reflux!?
See your doctor: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person. He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
More or less: I push for 2.5-3 hours during the day and 4-5 hr at night. If you make a gradual change this can happen and you will both do well. After the kid reaches 10 lb, she may sleep 5-7 hrs. This is often aided if she is fed as she wakens rather than as she tires and is ready for sleep. Removing feeds from the sleep ritual alows them to learn to self settle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
4 month old formula fed baby wont feed as much anymore. Usually 4 oz every 3 hrs but now about 2 oz in more than 3 hrs. What could be the problem?
My daughter 4 mo will only take 4oz at every feeding 7 times a day. 3 1/2 oz if fed baby food too. Should she be eating more? She weighs 14lbs 11 oz.
28-32oz a day is ok: The total daily intake is average and her weight sounds good, unless she was a really big baby at birth.. Many babies this age prefer a larger quantity and fewer bottles. If feedings take a long time, check the nipple flow. Also, some babies spit up if they take too much at a time, or they just prefer to be "grazers.". ...Read more
How much baby food should my baby eat at 7 months when shes already exclusively breast fed & attached to me?
Doesn't need any: The use of solids at 7m is more a teaching process than a meal plan. They need to learn how to deal with textures & feed with a different skill set. A few tablespoons of a given cereal or other food is a good start. If baby seems interested, you can prepare more, but the breast milk should provide most of babies nutrition. ...Read more
Baby 11 wks old. Not feeding properly 50ml every 3 hrs instead of 130ml earlier. Not sick and cranky at all. Less quantity but regular pee poo diapers?
Feeding : If this is for just a day, may be okay but it is a signicant decrease in calories and shouldn't be ignored. ...Read more
3 week old baby eats 2.5oz of breast milk every 2-4 hrs, with 2-3 supplemental formula bottles included in her daily feedings. Is she eating enough?
Hard to say: If she's playful, interactive and starting to fill out it is likely enough.Having her weighed to see is also an option but once a week is often enough to monitor weight. Most at her age will put on at least an ounce a day. ...Read more
Yes but why ?: Breast milk is the only fluid source a baby needs in the first year. Depending on the source and amount, water could be harmful. The only reason I could see giving it is to get your mother, mother in law,or friend off your back and let them participate in the kids care, and then only for an ounce or two. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
4 month old baby born at 35w+3days. Should baby's born this early (5weeks) wait longer until they are introduced to solids?
Baby diet: Basically, in these days we do not recommend early introduction of solid food not even to full term infants because of food allergies. If the baby is growing well you may introduce the solid food around 6 mo of age unless otherwise advised by his pediatrician. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Can my 5 mo old baby eat food and drink water? Sometimes i'm worried about her feeding, she is on formula 4/5 oz every 3 hours
Sounds normal: Studies show that breast milk or formula alone supplies balanced nutrition for the first year +. Most early solid feeding pressure comes from the days babies were fed home made blends of boiled cow milk/karo & vitamins. At the time early supplements made sense, now they are overdone.Starting should focus on training baby to sit up & eat in preparation for his/her position at the table. ...Read more
When can babies move to fformula as 3 week grandaughter is hungry baby and wakes regularly for feeds?
My 2 m old baby was 3 kg at birth now he is 4.8 kg. Normal? He drink 4 bottles of formula whol day n I breast feed 3 times at night normal?
Baby 3 weeks old. Breastfed. Lots of wet diapers and poohs. Has gained birth weight. Sometimes only feeds for 5 mins. Is that long enough ?
Efficiency: The breast has the ability to push milk in like the gas pumps at a Nascar race.In 5 min they get about 80% of what is there. Some babies look at feeds as just feeds and act this way. Some linger to enjoy the closeness and need the additional nurturing. If baby is filling out okay I would just enjoy the extra free time. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends!: This of course depends on the size of your baby and his growth percentiles. BUT anywhere from 24 to 30 ounces is in the rough ballpark. Be sure and check his growth percentiles at the four month checkup. As long as he is gaining well and satisfied with feedings you are just right! ...Read more
At 1.5 months she had 36 cms headcircumfernce and at 3 months 38.5cms.she wighs 5.515 kg and 60.5cms long now?
Probably normal: The head circumference is on the smaller side compared to her height & weight, but showed proportional growth from 1.5 months ( assuming same weight / height percentiles at this age). Typically if it's a healthy normal baby, and her head grows appropriately, I don't get concerned about a smaller head. Usually just runs in the family. ...Read more
