Breastfeeding and baby and i both have a red, flaky, scaly rash. Baby around mouth-me around mouth, eye, forehead, forearm, and nipple?

MD visit: The rash may be due to a number of conditions, including infections, contact dermatitis or allergic dermatitis. Since you both have a rash, this raises the possibility of an infection that has been transferred to the baby. If you are applying topical lotions or perfumed products this may lead to a contact dermatitis. Your physician will be able to determine the treatment for the underlying cause. ...Read more

Rashes on 2 months old baby's palm, face, feet, stomach, back , etc n cradle cap?

Seborrhea: Seborrhea is another name for cradle cap. In addition to the scaly places on the scalp there are little red bumps on the trunk and head. The bumps are very fine and reddish. You could check google images for seborrhea to see if it looks like what your child has. Talk to your pediatrician about treatments. Sometimes a mild steroid such as cortisone is used. Sometimes an anti fungal such as lotrimin (clotrimazole). ...Read more

3 mos baby teething signs 3 white bumps like milia in same area on top gum & unconsolable, tooth?

3 mos baby teething signs 3 white bumps like milia in same area on top gum & unconsolable, tooth?

Call or page the Dr.: A 3 month-old baby who is "unconsolable" is fussy for a reason. If the baby had cold symptoms or has fever, an infection is likely. If truly not able to be consoled, the baby should be seen at the emergency room to rule out meningitis. If just "fussier than usual", parents can check the baby with no clothes on, give tylenol, (acetaminophen) give a warm bath, give a feeding, and if still fussy, go to urgent care. ...Read more

8 mth old baby woke up with rash on cheeks. Small, red, slightly bumpy spots covered her arms and thighs later in the day. No known allergies. Help!

Many causes: but at this age, this is how eczema (atopic dermatitis) often presents itself. Cow's milk and egg are the most likely allergens. However a viral infection or drug reaction may also present in this manner. If there is pus, then impetigo should be ruled out . If the problem persists, see your doctor. ...Read more

Painful bumpy rash under my breast. Only when I wear underwire bra. Allergy?

Painful bumpy rash under my breast. Only when I wear underwire bra. Allergy?

Possibilities: I agree w the 2 other answers you received. However, direct contact with metal is not common. If the bra is worn out it could expose the underwire. However there is a thick cloth channel surrounding it & the wire is coated in plastic. The underwire can actually break. Yeast infections are not uncommon & excessive pressure from the wire against skin can be problematic. ...Read more

Infant had fever about 2 days up to 102.7 finally broke on day 2 but now has rash on head chest back and cries almost constantly?

Common patters: A lot of infant viral infections will have fever for a few days and end in a generalized rash. Some have names based on location and type of rash, but they are expected and rather benign.I'd consider the crying evidence it is not finished. As long as the kid takes fluids well and plays occasionally you can monitor at home.If not drinking the kid should be seen. ...Read more
