Whenever my 13 Y.O son goes to sleep on his back he wakes up feeling like he is choking? Why is this? Anyway way to help it?

It sounds: like you are describing classic SLEEP APNEA which in some people is described as "choking" or "PARALYSIS" ! I assume you are not a heavy drinker or misuse sleep medications!
