Topical cream: It is safe to use topical Benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream on bug bites on infants. Also cool water or compresses or an oatmeal bath can be soothing. Depends: How old is your baby? The first few months of life babies can get many different lesions, most of which are considered normal and expected to go away if left alone.
