I hah an operation for a hernia in my belly button almost two years ago. they used mesh. my question is can i still have more babies?

Hello. I have 2 hernias..one that is really big. I got them while I was pregnant especially the big one above my belly button..I went to see a surgeon & he told me if I wasn't done having babies don't get the surgery till after the baby. is this something
