Crunchy neck rolls+numb thumb and pointer.
Cervical spine.: Two thoughts. (1) could be muscular strain from moving the furniture. (2) the numbness in the fingers makes me think there may be some cervical spine disc swelling from the effort. Now bend down and get as close as you can to palms on the floor with legs straight. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Very stiff neck down midline, can't move head back.took ibuprofen, still not better. upper back in spasm, what should i do?
Fell backwards upside down on back of head. Heard noise in neck upon impact. Lot of neck pain, but can move neck and do activities. Rest or go to doc?
Go to doc asap: The neck is one of those areas in which you could cause significant damage to the spinal cord if a fracture goes untreated. I am assuming all of the weight of your body fell in top of your neck which is not a good thing. You need plain films and additional flexion and extension views to rule out a listhesis/slippage. CT and/or MRI might need to be considered if there is suspicion for fracture. ...Read more
I have terrible ody arches. Mainly back of my neck and shoulders. All my body hurts when you press. I can't seem to concentrate at all?
No: You are meant to have a natural curve in the neck and back for maximum movement and flexibility. These are not curves you want to get rid of as they are god given and necessary. Standing straight actually makes you taller (not rigid straight) . Head up eyes forward shoulders back (not too far) increases height and actually helps reduce pain( in people with pain). ...Read more
Pain in my lower back when I arch my back and then bend my neck forward. No pain in any other orientations. No numbness/tingling.
It could be: Tingling in the feet is common. 60% of tingling (usually both feet) comes from peripheral nerve (nerves in the foot) problems due to diabetes or another cause. One-sided tingling could be due to nerve compression from a spinal nerve in the back or even lower down in the leg. Vitamin deficiencies, e.g. B12 can cause, along with liver/kidney/thyroid disease or toxins such as alcohol. Seek evaluation ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I have a huge bulge on my spine where the neck joins the shoulder ball of both are bulging and the top of my foot has a bulge?
Foot bulge: I agree with dr. Colen. From the standpoint of your foot, common 'bulges' may be a plantar fibroma if its on the bottom of your foot and is firm but not bony. This is a benign mass with a scar tissue like consistency. Otherwise it really depends on specifically where the bulge is located. I would go see my colleague dr. William r. Adams in paducah. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Bone or tendon prob: Most common cause of medial foot pain and swelling is either tendonitis or partial tear of the posterior tibial tendon. Classically it hurts when you raise up on your toes. In the same area u could have a symptomatic accessory navicular bone. U need to be examined, xrayeed +- MRI to tell what problem is. There may still be : A lot of your healing process still going on with 3 spine surgeries in 7 months & I do not know extent of your surgeries or underlying diagnoses as well as your general health. However, this is not strictly a neurologic symptom but may be related to a degree with your surgeries especially if you had primarily right sided symptoms preop with nerve changes leading to this sometimes. I woke up this morning with pins and needles on the left side of my head/scalp like the feeling when your foot is sleeping and you can't feel it. What can it be? The feeling came back slowly when I moved my neck.
The occipital nerve comes out of the upper part of the spine. You may have slept with your neck twisted, or maybe you had an old neck injury? If you put pressure on the upper nerve roots you can get a 'sleeping nerve' feeling in your scalp.
If it doesn't come back, don't worry about it. If it persists, do some gentle neck rang of motion exercises if you know how, or get a PT referral. ...Read more
