If I get rid of my arched back and neck will it make me a little taller?

If I get rid of my arched back and neck will it make me a little taller?

No: You are meant to have a natural curve in the neck and back for maximum movement and flexibility. These are not curves you want to get rid of as they are god given and necessary. Standing straight actually makes you taller (not rigid straight). Head up eyes forward shoulders back (not too far) increases height and actually helps reduce pain (in people with pain).

Pain in my lower back when I arch my back and then bend my neck forward. No pain in any other orientations. No numbness/tingling.

Pain in my lower back when I arch my back and then bend my neck forward. No pain in any other orientations. No numbness/tingling.

Back pain: If no fall, significant trauma, fever, steroid use or history of cancer the pain is very, very likely musculoskeletal. Take NSAID and try some stretching for a few days. IF problem would not resolve or worsen then get checked.

Why would I have tingling in my right foot? Can it be a neck or back issue?

Why would I have tingling in my right foot? Can it be a neck or back issue?

It could be: Tingling in the feet is common. 60% of tingling (usually both feet) comes from peripheral nerve (nerves in the foot) problems due to diabetes or another cause. One-sided tingling could be due to nerve compression from a spinal nerve in the back or even lower down in the leg. Vitamin deficiencies, e.g. B12 can cause, along with liver/kidney/thyroid disease or toxins such as alcohol. Seek evaluation

I have a huge bulge on my spine where the neck joins the shoulder ball of both are bulging and the top of my foot has a bulge?

I have a huge bulge on my spine where the neck joins the shoulder ball of both are bulging and the top of my foot has a bulge?

Foot bulge: I agree with dr. Colen. From the standpoint of your foot, common 'bulges' may be a plantar fibroma if its on the bottom of your foot and is firm but not bony. This is a benign mass with a scar tissue like consistency. Otherwise it really depends on specifically where the bulge is located. I would go see my colleague dr. William r. Adams in paducah.

I have foot pain in my right foot inner on the side, it has swollen up and hurts to massage it. My upper back on the right around neck also hurts.?

I have foot pain in my right foot inner on the side, it has swollen up and hurts to massage it. My upper back on the right around neck also hurts.?

Bone or tendon prob: Most common cause of medial foot pain and swelling is either tendonitis or partial tear of the posterior tibial tendon. Classically it hurts when you raise up on your toes. In the same area u could have a symptomatic accessory navicular bone. U need to be examined, xrayeed +- MRI to tell what problem is. The back/neck pain is probably unrelated but could be part of an inflammatory arthritis pictur.

My neck is hurting at the base of my head I have chills is that normal I fell five foot off the back of a truck and landed on my neck and head 2 days ago the pain is a little better but not much

I: I would recommend going to the emergency room to get x-rays to make sure you did not break your neck. If you did not break your neck then you should see your primary care doctor and spine doctor. Neck base pain is sometimes caused by irritated neck nerves (occipital neuralgia) and it often responds to steroid injections. Good luck!

Shoulder: Shoulder pain can be a fracture, a bruise, a torn rotator cuff tendon or cartilage, dislocation of the shoulder or collar bone. It can even be radiating from a pinched nerve in your neck. Shoulder x-rays are probably a good idea. Can you give us some more information? Does it hurt more with shoulder motion or tilting your head all the way back? Do you have any tenderness? Do you have any numbness, tingling, or weakness? Did you have a cervical spine mri?

There may still be: A lot of your healing process still going on with 3 spine surgeries in 7 months & I do not know extent of your surgeries or underlying diagnoses as well as your general health. However, this is not strictly a neurologic symptom but may be related to a degree with your surgeries especially if you had primarily right sided symptoms preop with nerve changes leading to this sometimes. Ask surgeon.

I woke up this morning with pins and needles on the left side of my head/scalp like the feeling when your foot is sleeping and you can't feel it. What can it be? The feeling came back slowly when I moved my neck.

Occipital neuraglia?: The occipital nerve comes out of the upper part of the spine. You may have slept with your neck twisted, or maybe you had an old neck injury? If you put pressure on the upper nerve roots you can get a 'sleeping nerve' feeling in your scalp.
If it doesn't come back, don't worry about it. If it persists, do some gentle neck rang of motion exercises if you know how, or get a PT referral.

I have a dark/ almost black spot on my tonsillar arch in the back of my throat. It doesn't really hurt but is irritating. What could it be?

Check it out: You should see a dentist or your primary care doctor. Melanomas which are tumors can appear anywhere in the body. This may be benign but only a clinician can tell you for sure.
