What is the correct dosage for acetaminophen for a 7 month old and 22.8 pound baby? I am giving him1.25 ml every 4 hours and doesn't seems to working

Note, the liquid tylenol for children recommends you ask your doctor if child is less than 2 years old, and so you should ask your doctor to help you adjust the correct dose for your child. No: They are the same medication and you should choose one or the other, otherwise you are giving your child double the recommended dose of Acetaminophen (the active ingredient in tylenol). You are likely thinking of alternating Ibuprofen (motrin or advil) and acetaminophen, which is also a controversial topic.
