Depends on situation: Light housekeeping should never cause any harm to the fetus. In fact many mothers carry on an active & very physical life up to delivery.I have followed jazercise instructors that did just that. Likely hiccups: Some have speculated that the close position of the babies stomach to the diaphragm causes a rubbing that triggers the hiccups.This is common & generally continues on through the first months after birth.
