None: None that I am aware of. I am not sure he has an allergy either at 2 weeks of age. He may instead just have a cold. I would just use a gentle nasal saline spray and use a suction device like Nosefrida. My wife uses it on our 3 year-old. Use a cool mist humidifier too. And, have him see his pediatrician if no improvement. Most drugs used in infants starts at 2 years of age. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
They don't work. : Babies swallow air when crying & bottle-feeding. Till ~ 6 weeks, their intestinal smooth muscle does not coordinate propulsion of liquid & air. Use the "football hold". Put baby on your forearm, head at your elbow, face down. Press your palm against his tummy, flex his hips, encircle one leg with your fingers & roll him gently against your chest. Tilt head up to burp, tush up to pass gas. ...Read more

Depends on . . .: Babies ages 3-12 months can easily catch colds from other people. If there is just a runny nose, without much fussiness, without any high fever, without other worrisome symptoms, then parents can leave the nose alone. If the mucous is blocking the nose somewhat, try a few drops of saline, followed by gentle suctioning with a suction bulb. A doctor should examine younger or more symptomatic babies. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is there any lifestyle choices i can do to make my fetus not turn out to be a fussy/irritable infant? He's very active at 27 weeks. Anything i can do to calm and ease him?
No: The only cause and effect evidenced by medical study that causes a fussy/irritable baby is the effect of drugs like cocaine, heroin and caffeine. Even a stressed out mom does not cause a stressed out baby since the physiological effects of maternal stress are transient. The good news; active infants at 27 weeks gestation do not predict actual infant behaviou after birth. Good luck! stay happy. ...Read more

How long will it take for my 2 week old baby boy will start sleeping at night ? I am feeling stressed and exhausted !
Newborn feeding: Try not to focus on each individual feed, but what baby takes over 24 hours. Just like you and i, our appetite is different at each meal and appropriate growth really involves the big picture rather that each feed. That being said, a 2 week old should be taking about 26 ounces a day of formula or breast milk. Breast being best, this is feeding every 2-3 hours for 15 minutes on each breast. ...Read more
