How effective is candibec to skin rash in infants? My babys pedia recomend it,

Trust ur (kid's) doc: Candibec appears to be a combination steroid cream available in the philippines. It only works if the rash is responsive to it. While it can suppress immune response to infection, it won't get rid of infection. So your pediatrician must have a good reason to recommend it rather than antifungal or other cream. In other words, need to know cause of skin rash. Get 2nd opinion if you don't trust doc. ...Read more

Is tinea versicolor contagious to newborn baby?

Is tinea versicolor contagious to newborn baby?

Yes, it's possible.: Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection of the skin. Perspiration and hot humid environments are conducive to the spread of this offending agent. Having said that, in my 30 years of active pediatric office practice I have yet to see a newborn with tinea versicolor. ...Read more
