Is taking B12 and B6 in pill form better then taking them in desolving stripes. And how much I take of both?

Is taking B12 and B6 in pill form better then taking them in desolving stripes. And how much I take of both?

B Vitamins: B vitamins are water soluble and get absorbed quickly. Vit B12 might have problems being absorbed from the stomach if you have a history of gastritis and uclers, because they can destroy intrinsic factor which the stomach needs to absorb b12. If you have an ulcer history, use sublingual B12 (under the tongue) 1000mcg (1mg) daily is a good dose, and 50mg perday is a good dose for b6. ...Read more

I HAVE B6 Toxicity from taking 5 mg of b6 for 2 years. I have been off of it for 8 weeks and am much better but still have pain in the evening. Howlong?

Look for other cause: While high doses of Vitamin B6 can cause neuropathy, usually this involves taking at least 500 mg/day. There is no evidence of doses below 200 mg causing toxicity, and millions of people have taken doses of 5 mg or more with no reports of toxicity. Thus, it is unlikely B6 caused pain so I would get evaluated for other causes of your pain. See http://tinyurl. Com/pkzbwlz ...Read more

Without a deficiency: There may be little benefit if you are not deficient. B6 has a toxicity state. Its one of the few water soluable vitamins that does.
