Cyst? Calcinosis?: You ashould always remember that when you see something on your skin ANYWHERE, that you don't understand, you owe it to yourself to report to a dermatologist and get it checked! That said, injection site hematoma which the body resolves by sending in cells which can calcify, is not infrequently causal.see my first statement for the best advice! ...Read more
Dr used 18 gauge core needle u/s guided biopsy for 5 mm breast lesion. 4 samples were obtained. What does that mean?
Breast biopsy: The "18 gauge" refers to the diameter of the core biopsy obtained (a lower number is a thicker biopsy). The "4" refers to the number of tissue samples obtained of the 5 mm. Lesion that was presumably identified by imaging. Assuming the pathology results correlate with the imaging findings, you and your care providers should feel comfortable that they are addressing the lesion appropriately. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Depends: Depends on the physician doing the biopsy. It's a simple procedure. Some physicians use local anesthetic, some use Ethyl Chloride (cold spray), some use nothing at all. Call the physician's office to find out ahead of time how he/she does it so you can anticipate. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Had transforaminal epidural injection for 2 pinched nerves 2 level injection on 4/9/13-herniation, still have lots of pain in spine, tkrdone 10/12 ?
Stenosis: It sounds like you've had significant spine and leg pain since a tkr in oct 12? And i'm guessing you've had a lumbar mri. If the MRI showed significant stenosis (pinched nerves) which corresponds to your pain symptoms, then your options are to try medications (i.e. Lyrica), or another epidural or two, or decompressive lumbar surgery. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Fundal uterine fibroid not responding to hormone treatment (not shrinking)
- injections 6months - concerns of sarcoma - will sarcoma show on MRI?
Very very unlikely: Unfortunately gynecological oncologists and radiologists have not found an accurate imaging technique to diagnose a uterine sarcoma which is very unlikely to "show on MRI". The lack of response of "your fundal uterine fibroids to hormone treatment" is not a reliable sign either. Consult an experienced gynecologist about uterine fibroid biopsy or a laparoscopic myomectomy if you remain "concerned" ...Read more

Yes: 37.5 cc is a large testicle. This may not be a problem. Some men have bigger than average testicles. Make sure you don't feel any lumps or irregularities and get checked out if you're concerned. Also, the fact that you pegged it at 37.5 cc suggests you have had an ultrasound and maybe don't need further work up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can't tell: Where's the primary? Depending on what else is going on, death can occur in a few days (if there's a large lung cancer and it blocks an airway, causing pneumonia) to not-for-many-years if this is one of those lung cancers that responds to today's chemotherapy, or there's a new molecular-biology breakthrough. Enjoy each day. Best wishes. ...Read more

Depends: Name brand and generic drugs have wildly different costs. The markup on drugs is approximately 100% over wholesale but then is discoutned by most insurance companies. Add to that the cost of the drug administration which can be 10-75$ for intramuscular injection and 5-10 times that for IV injection and you can estimate the price. ...Read more

Its being more than a month now suffering from pins and needles on my hand and one feet, I injected B12 and BCo and nothing is helping me, I am Iron?
There’s a saying: “A doctor who doctors himself has a fool for a patient.” The same thing applies to you. You have NO idea really what the cause of your symptoms is. Injecting things without knowing the cause is like target shooting in the dark. What you have could be serious. Don’t resort to nonsensical nostrums. See a live doctor in a real office. You may need to see a neurologist. I would not dawdle about this. ...Read more
