This genetic combination would only produce a baby with an O blood type. Before jumping to conclusions check the parents blood type. Lots of people get these wrong.

Dr. Barry T. Kahn answered:

What two blood types are needed in order to be b negative?

Blood typing

Blood
In general there are 4 major blood groups, A, B, AB and O, signifying the presence/absence of certain molecules on the red cell surface. Type A has only "A" molecule; Type B has only "B" molecule; Type AB has both and Type O has neither. The "positive" and "negative" reference refers to the presence/absence of Rh molecule on the red cell surface. O positive is the most common blood group.

What are the personality traits of a b negative blood type?

Blood
As far as I know, this is not a respected area of interest - like astrology, etc. But D'Amato has some main stream support with respect to physical nutritional needs based on blood types that are plausible indeed. His work has extended into other areas of individual differences, so here's a link: http://www.dadamo.com/bloodtype_B.htm Who you are matters more than who it says you are!

Dr. Robert Kwok answered:

Can a male and female both with B negative blood type have healthy children?

Does not matter

Blood_type_a
The parents' blood types do not matter, meaning the health of the children are not related to the parents' blood types, as long as the woman gets good prenatal care (to prevent problems of an Rh negative woman carrying an Rh positive baby), and the baby gets good care after delivery (to prevent excessive jaundice). People are free to choose their spouses without worrying about ABO-Rh blood types.

Can someone with type O positive blood and someone with type B negative blood still have a healthy baby?

Yes

Blood
The more problematic combination would be a Rh neg mom,but even that is readily managed today. ABO mis-matches are seldom more than a minor problem with jaundice & respond to proper management.

Why would I have ab positive blood and my brother has b negative?

Several ways

Blood_type
A & B are codominant over O. If one parent has AO alleles & other BO they can have A, B, O & AB offspring. Rh+ is dominant over Rh-. If both parents have Rh+ & Rh- alleles they are Rh+ but can pass on the Rh- trait & have Rh+ & Rh- kids. This also happens if one parent is Rh-.
