Been taking Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) for strep throat and also taking Lo Loestrin Fe. Missed 3 or 4 days of taking Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) and I'm having vaginal bleeding? Normal?
Call your doctor: It is not good to miss doses of your antibiotic when treating strep throat. You risk getting rheumatic heart disease. You must take all 10 days and may have to start again, ask your doctor about it. And an antibiotic can cause irregular periods. If irregularity persists through your next cycle or two, see your doc about this, too. ...Read more

Pseudomembranous col: You could have c. difficult especially from taking all those broad spectrum antibiotics. The flagella (metronidazole should help). Antibiotics for bacterial infection, on birth control 1 yr, not missed pills, had unprotected sex day started antibiotics. nausea and cramps day afte?
Probably infection: I doubt that the nausea and cramping are due to the birth control pills. The infection may be causing them ( you did not say what kind of infection) or , more likely the antibiotics. Antibiotics frequently cause stomach upset and cramping. Some do interfere with contraception though so to be safe use condoms or another backup for the rest of this package. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
On augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) (after zpack) for sinus infection but intense stomach pain after 3 pills. Can i switch to amoxcillin without restarting another 7 days?
Sinusitis: The use of antibiotics for sinus infection is very controversial. You may not need any if you use nasal saline irrigation with a neti-pot, nasal steroid spray and a decongestant (either Pseudoephedrine orally or an oxymetozaline spray, both available otc). If you reacted negatively to Azithromycin and your doctor ok'd the Amoxicillin this should be ok without restarting. ...Read more

Urethritis, chlamydia igg neg, azhithro, Doxy, Metro Oflox no relief. Then moxifloxacin severe techycardia high BP some relief in two day. Wht nex?
See ID specialist?: With the cardiac effect from moxifloxacin, you need to get an EKG to check for prolonged QT interval. There is likely another drug which covers the same organism without affecting the heart and thus an infectious disease specialist may be needed. Have you had an urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity study done? ...Read more
What UTI meds i can take at4weeks pregnant this is 3 days after my missed period cipro (ciprofloxacin) or microbid i'm pregnant?
If dosed right: Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) would help kill off some strains of gonorrhea, but not all. It would likely do nothing for chlamydia and many other STI's. It would be best to get in to see a provider knowledgeable about current treatment protocols and get correct treatment, if needed. This is nothing you would want to self treat with borrowed meds. Several of these germs can make you sterile. ...Read more
