Be careful: Pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine are stimulants and Excedrin contains caffeine, all of which if taken together could cause nervousness jitteriness and possibly palpitations. Do NOT overmedicate. Nyquil can be sedating in certain individuals. ...Read more

They are different: The best first line treatment should include saline nasal irrigation and nasal steroid spray. The steroid spray is long acting and takes affect over the first few weeks of use.
