Presented w/ chest pain and shortness of breath. Ct w/ contrast showed enlarged non-specific mediastinal & axillary lymph nodes. Should I have biopsy?
What's the natural size of axillary lymph nodes in their normal state? I heard they can be up to 2cm.. If that's true, how come they cannot be felt?

Need more info: This could be systemic infection, a non-infectious inflammatory condition like sarcoidosis, malignancy either of the lymphatic system or spread of tumor from elsewhere, and there are several remote other possibilities. Blocks lymphatics: The lymph nodes are accumulations of white blood cells which filter the extracellular water being carried back to the blood steam from all over the body.
