PTSD help: Work with a mental health professional experienced treating PTSD. Triggers are highly individual, can be multi-sensory, occur while awake or asleep, eg. nightmares. CBT and exposure therapy are also effective. See: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/post-traumatic-stress-disorder/basics/treatment/con-20022540 I hope this helps. Can i manage af by avoiding triggers without beta blockers?

Yes and no: Betablockers do not prevent atrial fib. It's rare to be able to identify a true trigger. Paroxysmal atrial fib occurs unpredictably . Caffeine and nicotine may make it worse. Bbs slow the pulse but don't prevent spells. Calcium channel blockers (eg verapamil and diltiazem) are good alternatives to bbs. An antiarhythmic (eg flecainide, sotalol, dolfetilide or amiodarone) can actually prevent af. ...Read more

My tinnitus is getting worse though I've avoided triggers (drumming & biking w/earplugs) for a month. Not around loud noises now. Other causes?

Possibly cell phones: While noise is a known cause of tinnitus, in many cases the cause is not known. Some recent research suggests cell phone use can be a possible cause- see http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1808869415001639 No matter the cause, there is a new non-invasive treatment called Neuromonics that is often very helpful. It involves using sound to retrain the brain. See http://neuromonics.com ...Read more

What vitamins or supplements are good to reduce bad smelling and excessive gas? Along with eating well and avoiding trigger foods

What vitamins or supplements are good to reduce bad smelling and excessive gas? Along with eating well and avoiding trigger foods

Pro mean with: and bio means life. Probiotics help the GI system digest food. Anti means against. So, if one takes excessive antibiotics (which are sometimes needed) they can kill off the good bacteria in our GI systems and we can have digestive problems. This can happen w/out antibiotics at times too. So, the probiotics replace the good bacteria that are missing or low. Peace and good health. ...Read more

Is there a good pill or supplement you can take to reduce bad smelling gas? I also avoid food triggers.

Let's see: Meat eaters tend to have more foul smelling gas (compare the odor of horse manure vs dog's). Certain foods such as beans or soy can give you foul smelling gas. If your lower bowel is partially filled with feces, the smell would be bad as well. So eat more veggie and fiber (less meat) would likely be helpful for you. ...Read more
