Yes and no: Betablockers do not prevent atrial fib. It's rare to be able to identify a true trigger. Paroxysmal atrial fib occurs unpredictably . Caffeine and nicotine may make it worse. Bbs slow the pulse but don't prevent spells. Calcium channel blockers (eg verapamil and diltiazem) are good alternatives to bbs. Possibly cell phones: While noise is a known cause of tinnitus, in many cases the cause is not known.
