Don't eat them..: Raw sea food is dangerous anyhow. Hot sauce will not do anything against bacteria. Also, since you are allergic to other foods, you may very well be allergic to sea food also. I would: As tasty as your routine is, the fact is you can live without oysters. You might not be able to say the same with a serious infection, which you are at higher risk for on enbrel (etanercept). No matter how good the source, raw foods contain germs that can cause disease. This is likely allergy to a protein in the shellfish, either in the shell or the meat itself. Its possible you have allergy to dust mites which could be causing you symptoms on handling shells of raw shrimp but no reactions with eating cooked shrimp. Majority of allergic reactions to shellfish starts in "adult life", so this could be a start. Recommend that you talk to an allergist to test for allergy to shellfish and dust mites.
