Uncle has vitiligo on hands, he tells me it's from industrial chemicals. I read it can be from Pernicious Anemia (not sure he as it) but I had clean CBC. Does this exclude me from Pernicious Anemia?

Unlikely: Pernicious anemia is usually caused by a deficiency of vitamin B12 causing enlargement of the red blood cells with a reduction in total number of red blood cells. This condition is also referred to as megoblastic anemia. Normal CBC all but rules out Pernicious anemia. ...Read more

Caustic Reaction: Degreasers are typically strongly basic (not acidic) solutions that create a caustic reaction akin to a burn. Initial treatment is to wash the degreaser off the skin, essentially diluting it to diminish the reaction. Your symptoms indicate that the reaction is persisting and so it is best to call poison control (800-222-1222). They can give you home treatments or refer you to an ER if necessary. ...Read more
