My 2 year old has two pea sized lumps on his head. One near the top and the other half way down the head on the left. They don't seem to bother him,?
Lymph node: There are many lymph nodes in the neck and back of the head that are often more noticeable because they are located where our fat pads don't hide them. If you feel around you should find several the size of a pea & sometimes bigger. They can increase to the size of a big peanut if stimulated by local factors, illness or vaccines. I would just monitor it. ...Read more

I have a two year old boy im potty training him but he freaks out he doesn't want to take off the diaper?
Too early?: Parents are highly motivated to toilet train their children (less mess, less expense). Unfortunately, toddlers frequently are not ready as soon as the parents would like. Boys in particular are later to be ready for this training. I do not think that your son is ready for toilet training developmentally, and would recommend waiting until he is older. ...Read more
My two year old boy is only 31 inches. Hardly eats anything solid., only has 24oz of milk per day. Should I be worried about his diet and height?
Review his diet...: Review his diet with his pediatrician. A 2 year old should have a regular diet, with similar solid foods as a 3 year old. A diet of mainly milk usually is not healthy enough. If it is the texture he doesn't like, the solid foods can be mashed up and/or made into porridge type soups. ...Read more
My cousin's two year old boy fell over the back of the loveseat this morning. He went crashing face first to the floor. He bled on/off all day. How do we get to know if he has a broken nose?
Most 2 year olds are very flexible and a broken nose is unlikely but only an xray would tell for sure. A doctor may get an idea from the exam and amount of tenderness on palpation and movement. Make sure he can breath through his nose and there is not undue swelling and look for any devaition.
If in doubt, check it out. Sorry for slow response. ...Read more

What a case typically cause low blood pressure. Is a average of112/63 normal for a twenty two year old female?
It is a phase!: Your job as a parent is to buy the right food, prepare it nutritiously and serve it creatively. Leave the rest up to your child. How much they eat, when they eat, and if they eat is their responsibility. After a year of rapid growth (the average one-year-old has tripled birth weight), toddlers gain weight more slowly. Aim for a nutritionally-balanced week, not a balanced day. Offer, don't force. ...Read more

He is normal: He is also 2 years old and under your direction. Do not offer or have the "unhealthy" foods available. He will eat what you serve if you persevere. Toddlers can be stubborn and he may choose not to eat for a few days while he gets hungry and refuses to eat the healthy food that you provide. He can get his "sweet" fix from natural foods like fruits (grapes, etc). ...Read more

An outer ear infection (swimmer's ear) can cause redness and drainage, but is fairly painful. Eye drainage, however, can be a sign of middle ear infection.
