According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Does a stomach of pregnant women grow within 3months?

Does a stomach of pregnant women grow within 3months?

Sort of: Your uterus does grow, but it doesn't get to the top of your pelvis until about 12 weeks. I have never figured out why, but your stomach (at least in most women) gets bigger much faster. Clothes don't fit (while pregnancy clothes are still too big) & you look bloated. It is very common, with nearly every woman experiencing this. I assume it is hormone related, but don't know for sure. ...Read more

Progesterone level of 14.8 at 6 weeks 1 day pregnant. Is this number ok? Baby had a heartbeat and measured perfectly.

Probably ok: Congratulations, you are pregnant! try not to treat the numbers, there really isn't much you can do about it. While your physician may place you on Progesterone supplementation, there is no evidence that this decreases miscarriage risk. That being said, it can't hurt. If the fetal size is appropriate and the heart beat is normal, try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Best of luck! ...Read more

Is a didelphys uterus pregnacy considered a high risk pregnacy im 26 year old smoker with a double uterus and 4 months pregnant

Is a didelphys uterus pregnacy considered a high risk pregnacy im 26 year old smoker with a double uterus and 4 months pregnant

Hello. : Hello. I would ask your doctor if s/he is currently classing you as high risk. Having a double uterus (uterus didelphys) does not necessarily mean that you will need special treatment to have a normal pregnancy and delivery. There can be a lot of variability in this condition. However, your doctor will probably want to follow you somewhat closely to ensure that you don't go into pre-term labor. If one of the uteruses is very small and that is where the embryo implanted or if that cervix is poorly developed this can increase the risk for miscarriage and preterm labor. In some cases there can be an increased risk for a breach delivery. One thing you can do to help your fetus is to stop smoking. Take care. ...Read more
