Tough word - normal: Being thin and tall is perfectly fine if the child is growing along their growth curves normally. Make sure your pediatrician or FP doctor is measuring height and weight and plotting them on a growth curve. Depends: See www.Cdc.Gov/growthcharts and select a male 2-20 chart you can print & follow. Your height could be as tall as 90%(top ten % of kids your age) if 5'6'' as you turned 13 or 60% if near 14. Needs more calories: You haven't mentioned how premature was your baby,but my guess he was born at 31-32 weeks gestation,at 1.67 kgs,now at age 7 months he is 3.5 kgs,doubled his birth weight,but still needs more,hope his other developmental milestones are fine.Usually premature babies catch up with normal growth after 2-3 months,I am afraid breastfeeding alone isn't enough,he needs more nutrition,see his doctor ...Read more
