Avelox Abc Pack Medication
56 yr old female visible blood in urine. Avelox 14 days. Blood gone in 4 days. 2 weeks later visible blood. Avelox april 15 again + canesoral combi pack. Does antib stop blood if cancer? Scared.
No, it would not: Antibiotics are not likely to cause bleeding from a cancer in the bladder to stop. Be sure to have your urine tested and cultured(this is the test that specifies the exact bacteria causing infection, as well as which antibiotics will be effective against it) each time you have urinary symptoms. If blood continues to appear in spite of appropriate antibiotic treatment, see a urologist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Sinus Infection: Most patients get "better" by the 3rd - 5th day after starting avelox. But, if the sinuses are still clogged up, the pressure may persist. This assumes most of the symptoms are due to the presence of a bacterial infection. Add an oral decongestant, or best add afrin, (oxymetazoline) 2 puffs / 2 - 3 times per day, for up to three days. Afrin (oxymetazoline) is addicting, if used longer than a few days. Don't continue the use. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Usually in 2-3 days: Avelox has a half-life of about 12 hours (taken orally, 15hrs in IV form)--this means in 12 hours, 1/2 of what you took into your body is gone. In another 12hours, 1/4 left, at 36hours, 1/8 isl left etc..So for for the typical course of about 10 days therapy, most of the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is out of your system in about 2-3 days following your last dose--very cool biochemistry. Depends: Avelox is an excellent antibiotic to treat sinus infections. In case someone develops recurrent infections, it may be chosen as first line. If someone does not get sinus infections regularly, i would start with something else. But it also depends on the individuals' previous drug allergies/reactions. This is a complex decision to make. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Treat Legionnaires': Suspected or proven Legionella pneumonia (Legionnaires') should be treated with a quinolone (eg, levofloxacin) or azithromycin. Moxifloxacin should work, since it is an advanced quinolone medication, and there is medical literature to support this. However, most clinical guidelines list levofloxacin, as it has been used very often and has a great track record. I recommend to see an ID doc for this ...Read more
