Aveeno Body Wash
My skin is dry/itchy. Started using Aveeno (oatmeal) body wash/lotion. I have tiny dot pimples on my legs look like ingrown hairs, how to prevent?? Flakey skin
Dry skin/eczema: It's recommended to use plain white moisturizers two times a day, use less warm wate for bath or showers, use soaps or bath gel for sensitive skin (better to go with in colored and non fragrant or non scented, also gently tapping skin to dry than rubbing with towel is also recommended. See your doctor or skin specialist if not improving, sooner if worse. ...Read more
I have a vaginal yeast infection. I use Aveeno (oatmeal) Skin Relief body wash. My doctor says that's too strong. What's a good soap to use down there?
Dove, Caress & Ivory: Aveeno (oatmeal) body wash, like most soaps, find its' way into the vagina changing the pH and enhancing your yeast infection. Dove, Caress, and Ivory are mild and will not affect the pH of the vagina if used ONLY on the outside of your vagina on the skin. (vulva). ...Read more
Dry scalp: There is not a contraindication to put a gentle lotion as aveeno (oatmeal) on the scalp. However, it may not be cosmetically elegant. There are scalp oils that are more appropriate and that will have more hydrating properties. Try macademian oil, rosemary oil or argan oil formulations. The rosemary oil brand that I like is by weleda. ...Read more
My face breaks out very bad and I tried to use aveeno face wash on my face and it seems to break out my face even more so I haven’t use anything since?
Acne=infection.: Acne is truly an infection within the pores of the skin, so any effective treatment for acne should initially include both a drying agent (i.e. benzoyl peroxide) and an antibiotic (which could be topical or oral). Oils from the hair may also be in play so that may need to be addressed as well. ...Read more
My whole body is itchy no matter what. I have used aveeno (oatmeal) lotion many times daily and I still itch everywhere. My skin is soft, not dry. Relief?
Generalized itching (pruritis), in the absence of any visible abnormalities of the skin, can be due to occult (hidden) systemic illness such as malignancies and liver/biliary disorders. However, often times no definite cause is found. Anxiety, stress and psychiatric disorders can often cause itching. Medications can cause itching.

Would you recommend aveeno (oatmeal) products or tea trill skin line from the body shop for acne and oily skin?
Your choice: Aveeno (oatmeal) has some pricey, relatively weak salicylic acid glamourized with soy for some reason. Tea tree as an oil that's an estrogen and has made guys grow breasts. How abut getting serious? If topical benzoyl peroxide (dirty-cheap) as tolerated hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician for prescription-strength rx. ...Read more

Getting allergy testing done next week. Since coming off antihistamines I've noticed how extreeeemely itchy my scalp/body is. Using Aveeno (oatmeal) is helping.
Dry skin: If the allergy skin testing is solely for itching without any nasal, eye. Or respiratory symptoms, I believe that the yield is quite low. Your response to Aveeno suggests that dry skin is likely the cause and would recommend that you apply the lotion <3 minutes after bathing (avoid scented soap as well) to see if this helps. ...Read more

Does anyone know if any serious side effects will occur as a result of the aveeno mosturuzing lotion being placed intravaginally?
It depends on the circumstances. If you did it once, it should not have any effect. If you did it and had sex with a condom, the condom would have become ineffective. If you need a lubricant, use a water based jelly like K-Y jelly.
