I have atrophic scars on the glans penis, like acne boxcar scars, shallow/flat. Can I get them laser resurfaced like treatment for papules? Options?

Scars of the glans: Hello,
from your question I did not get the sense that you had pain from the scars.
I recommend against any further ablative treatments to the skin of the penis. This is a very sensitive part of your body and any ablative therapies such as laser resurfacing or more caustic treatments could reduce sensibility to this organ. Good luck.

Many fasciotomies CS returns. Hypertrophic muscles, scar tissue & fluid pockets in leg. Could fusing ankle atrophy muscles to reduce volume, & end CS?

Ankle Fusion: Ankle fusion (arthrodesis) absolutely will atrophy certain muscles in the foot and leg, as there is no further motion in the ankle joint. This limits the amount of contracture and use of the muscle, which leads to muscle wasting and atrophy. Also, you will not return the blood to your heart as effectively, as you rely on skeletal muscle to push the blood back to the heart (Venous insufficiency) ...Read more

I am a 57 year old female who has M.S. and my mri shows my diffuse atrophy is advanced for my age. What should I do?

MS usually affects: "white matter" (the motor skills part of your brain) but it CAN affect "gray matter" (the thinking part of your brain). MRI's are good at showing the structure of the brain but not its function. I recommend a referral for neurocognitive testing to find out how well your brain is WORKING. There are many things you can do to keep your mind and body healthy. Best wishes. Dr. Anne ...Read more
