Atenolol And Xanax
Is it okay to take atenolol and Xanax (alprazolam) for public speaking if I am also taking Zoloft?
Atenolol is a relatively long-acting (24 hours) beta-blocker. Beta-blockers as a group of medications calm or slow the heart rate down. They stop the swings in hr from stress or nerves. If someone is on a good dose of a beta-blocker and are startled, the medication suppresses the pounding of your heart. It also won't allow the hr to climb with exercise. It's used to ...Read more
Define doses used: Dangerous? You mean as in "can kill a person? " Or do you mean to the point where you could pass out, hit your head and have to go to the hospital for a few stitches? There's a potential blood pressure could be lowered more than expected seeing as how atenolol lowers pressure & Xanax (alprazolam) is a sedative type of drug. However, strictly speaking there are no significant interactions betwixt them. ...Read more
Is it safe to take. 5mg of Xanax (alprazolam) while on 25mg of atenolol? Would it drop my BP too much?
.5mg of sedoxil or. 25 of Xanax (alprazolam)? which is best when anxiety is acting up? I'm on atenolol 25mg daily.
Neither: Nowadays we don't use benzos alone in treatment of Anxiety D/O's. We use medications that regulate anxiety & add a small dosage of Clonazepam (at our center we start with 0.125mg, & it works). Xanax (alprazolam) is short acting & we don't use because of inter-dose withdrawal & increase in baseline anxiety. Sedoxil (Mexazolam) is not available in US, very long acting and leads to accumulation. Feel better. ...Read more

. This particular diet agents can cause liver damage. It has garcinia cambodia in it. It has very little to recommend in terms of actual weight loss. It would be a waste of your money. You don't put your doses down of Suboxone and xanax (alprazolam). I hope that your Suboxone prescriber is aware of the xanax (alprazolam).I also hope that you are aware of the potential risks of the combination. It is not an absolute contraindication to use them both together, but caution certainly is encouraged and I think that a sleep study on the combination should be done to make sure that you are not having any formof obstructive or central apnea, both of which could lead to weight gain. Best wishes. ...Read more

Yes, indeed!: Did one physician prescribe all of these? If so - you need to consider another provider. If not, you need always to inform any one of them about other drugs you take. All have some risk with just about all of the others, but the worst is between Xanax (alprazolam) and Suboxone.
