If shortness of breath is caused by atelectasis, how can it be treated pls?I ve linear atelectasis, and inhalers doesn't seem to be working well for me

Chest Physiotherapy: Atelectasis or collapsed lung is usually caused by mucus plug. In order to expand the lung you need to drink lot of fluids which help to make the mucus thin and you need to take bronchodilators through nebulizer as it contains saline and follow that by bending down at the edge of bed with some one patting on your back and trying to dislodge the mucus plg and thereby expand the lung.Do it 3-4 time/. ...Read more
