My Nephew Started Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) 30Mg. he is having anxiety. he was giving atarax 25 mg for it. can he take both together. he is 10 yr old. 128lbs. 4'11 tall?
Side effects: Anxiety is a common side effect of all of the stimulant class for ADHD. There are several alternatives. Is the atarax (hydroxyzine) to induce "sleepiness" in hopes of reducing anxiety? My Dr prescribed Norco 10/325 For knee pain and Atarax (hydroxyzine) 25 Mg for anxiety. Can i take Norco and Atarax (hydroxyzine) 25 Mg Together or space it out.
Good question: Better to hold the atarax (hydroxyzine) till done with the norco, taking both together might cause you CNS depression (e.g. drowsiness), spacing them out , morning and evening may reduce the combined side effects, but the problem is that atarax (hydroxyzine) stays in the system much more than the norco (~ 40 hours for atarax (hydroxyzine) vs ~ 10 for norco) , good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medications :) ...Read more

See Allergist: Could be suffering from chronic idiopathic or spontaneous angioedema (swelling). ACE inhibitors can cause this as well. Aspirin and NSAID's (such as ibuprofen or Alleve) can sometimes cause flares.
