Iv had a lump at the bottom of my head on the skull for a while now should I go see my doctor. What is it and what causes it?

May be normal bone: If it's at the very back of your head, directly in the midline, it's probably a normal bony lump called the external occipital protuberance. Sometimes it takes people many years to discover they have this. If it's clearly to the right or left it may be a lymph node, and if getting bigger, should be checked out. ...Read more

I would: It's probably incidental, but if you've had a palpable nodule for a year, it would be a good idea to have it checked. There are other things it could be, such as a parotid nodule, so i advise calling your hcp for an exam. Good luck ...Read more

I have a bump on my vaginal area it has puss in it and i popped it a year ago is it possible to get something at cvs and what should I get!

Don't play doc!: Sometimes these can be hidradenitis suppurativa, or they can be infected bartholin's gland cysts. If you popped one a year ago ; it came back in the same place, you should see your ob/gyn. They might need to incise ; drain it, and pack it. They even put a little catheter in so that a permanent hole goes to the outside so it can drain on it's own. Should also culture for MRSA ; treated if need be. ...Read more

I have a painless lump on the side of my foot next to my heel. I noticed it yesterday because it was itching.Should i be concerned and see a doctor?

Yes: I wouldn't be over concerned since the lump is recent. I would see the doctor if the lump is not going away, especially if it is hard in nature. If there is any redness to the area, go see someone tomorrow. You may also want to try soaking the area in warm water and epsom salt a few times a day until you get into the doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

You : You haven't mentioned if there is any history of injury, nor how long the lump has been present. I would suggest an initial evaluation by a family physician. You can search online for a board certified family physician. He/she will be able to do an initial evaluation and determine whether further intervention is needed. This will also be a great opportunity to establish a relationship with a personal physician. ...Read more

Vague: Staph like bumps are infections often associated with pus, but hives are transient and localized welts which are usually itchy. Are you having both conditions?
