At what age does the skin start to get wrinkles and crowsfeet?

Onset of wrinkles: Wrinkles form naturally over time and are influenced by exposure to sun, smoking, sleeping habits (bunching of skin for long durations), genetics, and repetitive & habitual muscle activity under the skin (like squinting). Spf, sunglasses, good skincare, no smoking, laser therapy, and Botox all can help prevent wrinkles. Hope this helps! ...Read more

At what age does the skin start to get noticeable wrinkles?

At what age does the skin start to get noticeable wrinkles?

Skin aging: Intrinsic aging is the natural aging process that takes place over the years regardless of outside influences. After the age of 20, a person produces about 1 percent less collagen in the skin each year. As a result, the skin becomes thinner and more fragile with age. There is also diminished functioning of the sweat and oil glands, less elastin production, and less gag formation. ...Read more

Can you reverse wrinkles you get as you age?

Can you reverse wrinkles you get as you age?

Laser or Chem Peel: Once wrinkles have set in, creams may have a limited role. I do recommend topicals with Retin-A and anti-oxidants, however you really need to try to stimulate new collagen and resurface the skin with laser procedures to see true "correction" in fine lines and wrinkles. Not all lasers are created equally, so seek the advice of a reputable laser surgeon in your area for more info. Hope this helps! ...Read more

If I lose weight, i'll have thinner skin. Doesn't that make it more likely to get wrinkles?

No.: That's the worst excuse for not dieting that i've ever heard. Your skin doesn't get thinner when you lose weight, the fat layer underneath it does. And even if it did, the health benefits of losing excess weight far exceed any conceivable cosmetic concerns. ...Read more

The skin on my forearms is becoming loose/wrinkled. I'm 51. Female. Is this normal at my age? I have lost 25 lbs last yr.

Skin: As we get older the skin loses it's elasticity(what keeps the skin tight). When we have a large weight loss, the skin may not be able to contract back to it's original state. If it's on the forearm, may consider some ultrasound/laser procedures for skin tightening. The other option is surgery which will leave a large and obvious scar. ...Read more

I've read that plumping anti aging creams can actually cause wrinkles as the skin expands and once the cream is stopped these would be noticed? True?

I've read that plumping anti aging creams can actually cause wrinkles as the skin expands and once the cream is stopped these would be noticed? True?

We can reverse time: We all subject to the progression of time and all things deteriorate, some a bit faster than others. Anti-aging creams only provide temporary "younger skin appearance" because they cannot change the genetic make-up of your body, at least we don't know how to do that safely yet. As a result, once the cream is stopped, the wrinkles return, quite fast. Consult doc. Good luck. ...Read more
