Mostly after meals have brain fog, can't concentrate at all, very sleepy, lethargic, have muscle fasciculations all over the body, one or two sudden foot/hand single jerks when relaxed. What is it?
See PCP.: Does it matter what you eat? Does a meal high in carbohydrate do this? You may want to see your doctor and have you tested for diabetes . It also sounds like you are very tense and when you relax, your muscle twitches. At any rate, your doctor could rule out other medical conditions which could explain these symptoms. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Weakness in arms and legs briefly when i wake up and is gone after a few minutes. Is that normal? Getting head MRI etc to rule out ms
SLEEP PARALYSIS: You describe a symptom associated with a sleep disorder, and yes, sleep disorders are clearly associated with multiple sclerosis, but this in itself, would not be diagnostic, and i would tend to do an overnight sleep study as an initial evaluation. Your doctor may have found some problems on exam, and MRI may prove informative, but you may next need to pursue other answers. ...Read more
I had an episode where my tongue felt heavy and paralized briefly. Then a hot tingling through body. Does this sound like a mini stroke (?
Neurology consult: I'm not sure about the hot tingling sensation, but a heavy, paralyzed tongue that stays that way can be bulbar ALS, a very serious condition. Better see a neurologist, even though you are young and don't smoke. Anxiety can cause some really strange symptoms, as can electrolyte imbalances and vitamin deficiencies, but difficult to tell in this venue. MS is another concern. ...Read more
Why do i get a fast heart rate, shake, and get a little headache at random times. It does mostly happen at night but it also happens during the day.
Many possinilities: Hard to tell from here. I'd see if there is any temporal relationship to certain eating habits or food items, and relationship to specific activities? Do you ingest a lot of caffeine? Any consumption of energy drinks? Any recreational drug use? If not, I'd see a doctor and get a 30 day event recorder, a device you can activate when you have these racing spells to see if rhythm abnormal ...Read more
"pounding" sound in the back of my neck -- sounds like waves crashing (but once a second). Doesn't hurt, happens about 1-2x a day for ~5-10m. Problem?
Need neurologist: You need a neurologist to check you for vascular bruits ( abnormal flow sound) that could be emanating from as far away as your heart or as close as your neck or brain. The neurologist will initiate the work-up and have you see a cardiologist if necessary . You are young for arterial blockage but anyone can have a heart valve murmur. An arterio- venous malformation inside the skull should be ruled out with appropriate tests. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Is it normal to get the feelings of a panick attack after they have happend etc numbness of lips and head?
My legs often feel so heavy after i walk foran hour or two, also my body feels like floating. Is it a normal fatigue symptom or more serious to check?
Normal: Unless you are a trained athlete, this is not that uncommon and i suspect that you have this issue because you do not usually exercise much and thus are out-of-shape. If you walk regularly , you will likely find your tolerance to walking improving in just a few weeks. Keep on trucking. ...Read more
What causes an electrical shock like feeling and your vision to scramble. only lasts a sec or two. does not hurt. you could fall almost like fainting?
What is a cluster headache? I often get migraines that last about 10 to 12 hours and it feels like my head is going to explode. It stops normal tasks.
Two answers: You sound like you have migraines. Migraine is far more common than cluster headaches. Cluster headaches have a very specific and distressing pattern. Also, you are a bit too young to have cluster headaches. Here's a bit more info: http://www.Nlm.Nih.Gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000786.Htm. ...Read more
Every single night at 12:30 am my heart feels like it stops, followed by a sympathetic burst and faster HR. Holter during episode normal. Causes of transient hemodynamic compromise at 12:30 am when lying down? Maybe something rare?
Holter results: If a Holter monitor (which is monitoring the electrical activity of the heart) says there is no speed up in activity and yet you are "feeling something " you are experiencing an "electromechanical dissociation". Discuss it with your cardiologist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why is it sometimes when I sleep, all of a sudden jerk out of sleep and my heart is racing like a nightmare?
Hypnic jerks: These sound like involuntary muscle twitches called hypnic jerks, or "sleep starts" -- fairly common. It's unclear why this happens, but 1 theory is that just as you're drifting off to sleep, your brain misperceives the muscle relaxation as a sign that you're falling -- and alerts your arms and legs to stay upright. It's worse with poor sleep hygiene & sleep deprivation. Could see a sleep doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Many causes: There could be many reasons for the funny feeling you are having. Some may even be noncardiac, for example a spasm of your esophagus. Many people have this feeling due to extra beats from the top or bottom chamber of your heart. The great majority are not dangerous. You should have an ekg done and if necessary a 24 hour monitor to see what is going on electrically in your heart at these times. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
