No: I usually don't like to disagree here with another doctor, but then again he did not say you don't have asthma. He said there are no signs of asthma which is the noticeable twitchiness of airways but can also be in chronic bronchitis. Asthma is diagnosed by a specific pft before and after treatment with bronchodilator. ...Read more

Maybe: Vocal Cord Dysfunction can easily be confused with asthma and can be tricky to diagnose. Both can coexist. Mucous production is not a direct result of VCD but could perhaps be secondary to the irritant that triggered it. Asthma inhalers are not typically triggers of VCD in practice. ...Read more
