Caught a virus?: Most things that will give you those symptoms are viral illnesses like the stomach flu, etc. Should the symptoms not improve in the next few days or so or should they worsen he should see his md. Other more serious illnesses may begin with those symptoms but then worsen. Have him rest, stay hydrated and see someone if not improving. Hope he feels better. ...Read more

Not enough: Asthma flare-ups are serious. Asthma can kill. If he is not getting better with his usual meds, you need to go to the emergency room now. He may need more frequent treatments, different or additional medicines, or a stay in the hospital to get things settled down. He may also need supportive treatments like oxygen if he's bad enough. Controller med: Your baby does need to be seen by a specialist. Wheezing at this age may be due to a number of conditions. Crying and increased respiratory effort may be the result of the asthma. If the baby wheezes often, a controller medication such as Pulmicort nebulized solution is used. This is an aerosol form of a steroid.

No: Make sure you don't have whooping cough which can induce vomiting. Have you received any whooping coughing vaccine (tdap) as recommended by cdc to protect you against this disease in the past 2 -3 years?
