Da Costa's Syndrome: Neurocirculatory asthenia is also called da costa's syndrome. It's an unusual disorder that may occur after a respiratory illness. No one knows what causes it but it's harmless. Headache most common: Side effect. You could have muscle weakness due to anemia (about 1%) or low potassium/magnesium (<1%). Talk with your doc about stopping your medication and doing an experiment! if you stop it and your energy returns, then it's probably your nexium (esomeprazole). Ibuprofen: Do you want to stop the fever or the illness? It sounds like you are coming down with a cold. Those are typical symptoms. You can always let fevers do their job, which is fighting viruses. It's actually good to have a fever and may help you get better faster. However, fevers are uncomfortable and can put you in bed. If you have to stop the fever, Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) is a good choice. Not aspirin. ...Read more

Reccomend seeing: Your doctor. This could be nothing, but would need physical exam and thorough history to rule out any issues. Again, this could be nothing but an irritated nerve, with one sided weakness i would want to rule out more serious issues like ms. Not likely that, but just to be cautious, consider having an MRI done. ...Read more
