A new drug: There is a brand new drug that has been fda approved for copd/emphysema. It is called Daliresp (roflumilast) (brand name). It works by blocking an enzyme called "phosphodiesterase." it has been shown to reduce the number of attacks of copd. Post ICU syndrome: At this time I am not certain there is any update on neuroimaging. However you may try any center that has SPECT scans. They can show if the brain activity is lower or affected long term. The cognition is affected in patients older than 65 but again more research needs to be done on the full impact. ...Read more

I don't know.: Official stats are usually artificial &often misleading. Stats depend on definitions &these criteria are changing all the time. Plus, "learning disability" is a relative term --so many types & levels of severity. My take: 1)a huge # of us struggles w/ learning; 2) schools are overwhelmed by the needs, & rarely meet the need; 3)more funding is only part of the answer; better ed approaches needed. ...Read more

What do you think ??: That issue to the best my knowledge ( I am fmg ) never comes among the doctors , discussions were never who is superior, as all of them take same examination, pass same speciality boards , most of fmgs practice in under served areas , others unwilling to go.
