Recently did a ASD/Aspergers screening test on PsychCentral and got a score of 46, does this mean a high chance of having it?

Need more info: Without knowing more information about the test, can't answer. Different tests are scaled differently, so your score's meaning depends on how the test is set up. If there was any kind of a description such as how similar that score is to the average for ASD, that might help. If you are concerned, a clinical psychologist would be most able to help you find out for sure. ...Read more

What should I expect from the test for aspergers syndrome?

Depends: There are several screening tests that can be used and they usually involve a series of direct questions to parents and care givers as well as direct interactions and observations of the patient. No: Nobody even knows what it is, and the only treatment that works is to learn some new skills which isn't a bad idea for most people. Poorly-coordinated, talk mechanically, good at some academic subjects, focused interests (often strange). Best rx is to learn to say nice things, get guidance reading people, strength / endurance sport, "relationships are more important than being right." has pluses. ...Read more

Is there a test for aspergers again at 17?

It's moot: If you're familiar with this curious condition, which offers many advantages but can be troublesome, seek testing only if it makes treatment options available. The basis of rx is getting educated on understanding other people, on being a diplomat rather than a jerk (this causes most of the pain). Choose a strength sport over a team-play sport, get speech rx if you need it. Say only nice things. ...Read more

Which tests are done to see if someone has aspergers syndrome?

No tests required: It's made on the history and talking to the person.
