Need iron replacemen: 52 mg of iron is not an excessive dose. You should see your doctor and get your possible iron deficient anemia worked up. Your heavy periods are due to an imbalance of too much estrogen and / or not enough progesterone during the two weeks before you start your period. There : There is no evidence that any of these supplements can stimulate ovulation. There are no studies that demonstrate that these will help. Most women who go off depo do start ovulating in the next few months. Try staying in bed for 15 minutes after intercourse with your knees up, and be sure you have optimal nutrition. It is better absorbed than folate (folic acid) in foods but our bodies need to convert it to l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (folic acid) (l-5-mthf), the active form. About 30% of people have genetic problems converting Folic Acid to l-5-mthf so unless you know you don't have that problem (which can be discovered with a blood test) it is safest to take the l-5-mthf form. ...Read more
