I'm only 22 years old with no colon cancer symptoms except lack of appetite is that really a specific symptom of colon cancer?

No: Lack of appetite is not a usual symptom of colon cancer. Unless you have strong family history of colon cancer occurring at a young age, you are too young to worry about it.

Sometimes I have to poop 2-3 times in one day but sometimes I won't go for 2 days I also get strong urge to go are the colon cancer symptoms I'm 20?

No.: Unless a LOT of people in your family have colon cancer below age 50. There are genetic diseases that give colon cancer at a young age. If you don't have that in your family and you would know, then colon cancer is exceedingly rare below age 50. Irritable bowel however is quite common.

If I have stomach aches or similar to indigestion or colon cancer symptoms, how can I tell?

How fast can ascending colon cancer (stage 1) spread? To where?

How fast can ascending colon cancer (stage 1) spread? To where?

Usually contained: Stage I ascending colon cancer is usually very easily treatable. Stage I means that it has not spread beyond the colon which is great news. If it ever does move, it usually moves to the lymph nodes, liver and lung. This would be detectable by regular scans after the colon tumor has been surgically removed.

See below:: Agree with Dr. KATAKKAR. It is unlikely that you have colon cancer. However, the issue is not suitable for ER. You need to see your primary care provider and let her/him decide if a referral to a gastroenterologist is warranted. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

16 year old worried about colon cancer! Symptoms, abdominal pain for a week, on/off constipation for 5 months, blood in stool 2x in past 2 months?

16 year old worried about colon cancer! Symptoms, abdominal pain for a week, on/off constipation for 5 months, blood in stool 2x in past 2 months?

Thanks for asking: I am glad that you are concerned about your health at this age. You are having some things that suggest your GI system is not acting quite right. Pain, changes in stool and blood can be signs of colon cancer, but that is very rare at your age. Other conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (crohn's) are more common, but less serious most likely. Family history critical too. Since blood, be seen.

What are the common symptoms of colon cancer?

What are the common symptoms of colon cancer?

Sometimes: They don't have any, and discovered on screening colonoscopy. These have the best prognosis. The earliest symptom is probably bleeding, but at first you need occult blood testing to detect small amount of bleeding. Then gross blood, then obstruction and perforation symptoms, such as cramps, pain, fever, chills, and even peritonits. These have much worse prognosis, so get colonoscopy at age 50.

Can a colon polyp cause the same symptoms as colon cancer?

Yes and no: They can both cause blood per rectum. They can both be asymptomatic. Advanced colon cancer behaves differently than a polyp, however. If you are having these questions, speak with a doctor.
