My sister was sleeping with her arm hanging off the bed beside under the bed. 2 red slanted line marks on her wrist next day. A bit pain no nodule?

Lying on something: The lines on her wrist may have been from her wrist resting on a similarly shaped part of the frame. Not too many biologic processes will express as two red slanted line marks . ...Read more

I have had a couple of pink skin nodules on my right arm under my wrist area for awhile now(years). Not sure what they are scared it could be cancer.

Skin nodules: The fact that you have had these nodules unchanged for years makes it highly unlikely that these are cancer. They could be cysts, fatty tumors, or other benign tumors of the skin. See a dermatologist and ease your mind. ...Read more

1cm nodule on inhomogeneous thyroid. Severe pain, swelling, and tingling in both wrists. Possible Hashimoto's disease symptoms?

1cm nodule on inhomogeneous thyroid. Severe pain, swelling, and tingling in both wrists. Possible Hashimoto's disease symptoms?

Unlikely: The symptoms of Hashimoto's thyroiditis are those of gradual failure of the thyroid gland and clinical hypothyroidism. I don't know what "inhomogenous" means. What did the history, physical exam of the thyroid, serum TSH, and serology reveal? A sub-cm nodule is only biopsied if there are concerning radiographic qualities. Was scintigraphy or ultrasound done? ...Read more

Need endo. W/U ,,,: You need an endocrine work-up to be sure you don't have an issue with your parathyroids, and for your thyroid. Your TSH is high, as is your calcium, and you are on a high protein diet. These can mean a parathyroid adenoma, and hypothyroidism at least. You have kidney stone, pointing to parathyroid adenoma, along with wrist pain. Also get off that diet asit can also cause stones. See dr. Asap. ...Read more

Primary hyperpara: A PTH of 41 with a concurrently high calcium of 10.3 is not normal. Pth and calcium level correlate (inversely) very closely with each other. If ur calcium is high at 10.3, there shouldn't be any PTH around & the level should drop to 5 or 10 but not 41. I would have a frank discussion with ur doctor about possibility of primary hyperparathyroidism (high calcium, kidney stone, high urine calcium). ...Read more
