Could this be cancer or arthritis? 1" lump inside above left elbow swollen and tender, entire elbow slightly swollen. Also wrist and left thumb joint. Avid golfer......

If : If you are an avid golfer the first thing that that comes to mind is an injury due to the sport , although unusual that the whole arm is involved , and is very difficult to give an opinion with out seen the lump or the swelling , since these are objective findings , that are important to evaluate and observe by the same person that gives the answer .A pulled or thorn tendon , proximal to the elbow or an olecranon bursitis and an associate lesion by the same mechanis in the wrist and theleft thumb may be a consideration and should be defined by physical exam and the exact details of how this two lesions apeared , and the correlation they may have with golf.To consider cancer or athrtis , a more systemic , meaning the rest of the body , involvent should be present with fatigue , weight loss etc etc at any rate , you need an evaluation by an orthopedic or a sports doctor first . Crystal arthrtis could do this if the elbow lesion is an inflamation of the elbow , but you ought to know at least that you have gout , it would be unusual three site location for a first episode. ...Read more

I have sll with 3.5 CM axillary node. Wrist on same side has sharp pain w certain moves. No tingling/numbness. Peripheral neuropathy? Carpal tunnel?

Wrist pain: Wrist pain may be caused by many things. With neuropathy, there is normally numbness or tingling. With carpal tunnel syndrome, there may be pain, numbness or tingling, especially in the thumb and adjacent fingers. An axillary node is not likely to cause any problems in the wrist, even it is close to the nerves. What movements are making it worse? That is possibly a clue related to the wrist. ...Read more

Elbow pain at funny bone side and wrist pain at small round bone side. Been 1 month. Likely cause? Treatment?

Problems right now . Headaches, then sudden numbness in face . , and left side numbness, foot numb , stiff neck , pain, distended artery left side neck, pain witch also hurts at left collar bone area below its near my heart left side . ..Had a ultrasound

Many symptoms: Those are a lot of symptoms. Tough to sort out which is the key. Some symptoms are a key to determining the cause, some are not. Take headaches for example. There are many different kinds. Are yours diffuse? Focused? Long lasting? Then numbness. How long does it last? Where is it, exactly? What do you mean by a distended artery? Just some thoughts to start with. ...Read more

Dropped a can on upper knuckle of left thumb. Pain & numbness on side of knuckle, limited mobility& swelling between index & thumb. Is it fractured?

Only x-ray can tell: If this just occurred, then it's reasonable to give this a couple of days of observation, rest, icing and possibly anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen.
