Probably a ganglion : Cyst. Typically come from a joint. Can be very painful. Most hand bumps are benign. Typically can be aspirated with a needle and decompressed or otherwise surgical excised. Used to call them bible beater lesions because the biggest book on the house was the bible and by smacking it with the 'good book' caused them to rupture. I do not recommend this though. ?all PSA: You are rather young for pmr. It may be that your initial symptoms of psoriatic arthritis (psa), mimicked pmr with neck, shoulder, lower back and/or hip hip pain/stiffness. Both pmr and psa can have elevated ESR and or crp. Both can respond well to prednisone. I try to diagnose people with one disease not two if possible. ...Read more
