In my experience, "SI joint" and "Piriformis" syndromes are commonly over-diagnosed by mistake.
Instead, I do see a lot of cases of sciatica from degenerate discs and pinched nerves in the lumbar spine. From your description, I wonder if you might have a pinched L5 nerve in your lumbar spine.

Could be a number of: Things. I would recommend avoiding drinking and see your pcp just to make sure there are no other issues you are just noticing when you feel poorly. If it is just related to drinking, it could be related to dehydration, which could cause some joint pain but not normally tingling in fingers.
