Aromatherapy (Definition)

"Aromatherapy is used in a wide range of settings -- from health spas to hospitals -- to treat a variety of conditions. Many women also report that peppermint oil relieves nausea and ...Read more

Would a home-made formula of coconut water, soaked chia seeds and almond milk contain enough omega-3 for a 1-month-old baby? Also adding vit and min

Bad idea: The commercial formulas are the product of more than 60 years of lab based research and nothing you can replicate with your well meaning attempts. Each are required to meet the standards of the FDA. Rather than a sign of love and devotion you could create a real dietary imbalance that could injure the child.I have hospitalized kids fed these home brews. ...Read more

Which milk is better for my 2yr old baby: Long life milk (UHT) or fresh (pasteurized) milk?

Recently, I have read in an article that consuming milk and milk products may cause cancer due the use of artificial cattle feeding. Is that true? Is it possible to avoid milk products completely? Please provide your valuable suggestions!

Recently, I have read in an article that consuming milk and milk products may cause cancer due the use of artificial cattle feeding. Is that true? Is it possible to avoid milk products completely? Please provide your valuable suggestions!

Not cancer forming: milk products not associated with the development of cancer. Cattle feed which may contain hormone is not in a high enough level to produce side effects which on their own would not be related to cancer, but might induce fibrocystic disease of breast. The volume of milk needed would be excessive. Most cancers defined today if not genetically induced (5%) are viral or carcinogen induced. ...Read more

I've heard a rumor that caffeine free root beer can help with milk production while nursing. Is this true?

Not true: While there is some liquid in root beer, it's not a known stimulator of milk production. Drinking plenty of water, resting & eating well, and nursing often are the best ways to keep producing milk. Does exercising (gym, yoga etc.) help avoid remission of adult acne? Has milk to do with acne, i've read it contains oxytocin? I am allergic to milk.

Does exercising (gym, yoga etc.) help avoid remission of adult acne? Has milk to do with acne, i've read it contains oxytocin? I am allergic to milk.

Wrong approach: Ignore everything you read online about acne. With your hair loss, you may want to get with your physician about a hormonal problem. Otherwise, there's no figuring out why some folks have acne into later life. I was able to stop using Rx when I was around 50. Kee it under control with topical benzoyl peroxide or more if is needed -- your physician can help. Best wishes and keep exercising. ...Read more
