My right arm pit has a bigger muscle then the left. I'm also a righty. It's the middle of the pit. I don't feel any cyst or swollen gland. Muscle?
That's the pits...: Make sure it's the muscle. Contract the chest muscle while feeling the armpit and see if it is really a muscle. Do this pushing against a wall. Then push down on a table with your elbow and feel for a muscle. Then you can compare muscle to fat. If you're a righty and do a lot of heavy work then it could just be the muscle, but if it feels like anything else, especially if lumpy, see your doctor. ...Read more

Moisture control: ? Hidradenitis? If it is, few helpful tips here: keep the area clean and dry-stuff a terry towel roll in your armpit if you have to. Avoid scented deodorant/ antiperspirant /soap - the additives that smell good can cause irritation. Don't shave - clip if you need to. Hygiene is a must to avoid infection. However, even if you are "super clean" - you will likely need a doctor's help on occasions. ...Read more

Yeast in your armpit: Is not a common area for infection unless you have predisposing problems such as hidradenitis suppurtiva. It depends: It really depends on the type and location of the cyst. If it is in the skin, a dermatologist will likely be able to help. Some cysts are deeper down and will require a surgeon, or an orthopedic surgeon to address. Many cysts in children are benign and if not causing a problem, it might not even need to be removed.
