Having horrible arm pain from my shoulder down to my elbow on my right side. What could be causing this?

Neck or shoulder: A pain that affects this area could be secondary to referred pain from the neck or a problem with the shoulder. Herniated disc, myofascial (muscle) pain, shoulder injury (tendon, impingement), etc could be the main source of pain. Only a good history, physical examination and imaging as needed will identify the cause. Www. Otwithmd. Com.

Hello just had a question about arm pain, for the past 2 days I have been experiencing a quick sharp pain down my right arm from elbow to rist, diabe?

Nerve: A pain that shoots down from the elbow to the wrist and only lasts a few seconds is most likely related to nerve entrapment or irritation at the elbow. Diabetic nerve pain would be constant and would start in the hand. Occasionally elbow arthritis pain can radiate down the arm but it lasts much longer. See your primary care physician if it persists more than a week.

Get it checked: Without being able to examine your arm and assess for swelling, redness, movement, etc. Its hard to say for certain whether there is possibly a fracture or infection/inflammation somewhere or whether this can just be treated with pain medications and rest. It is best to get it checked by an MD. I hope you feel better soon.

Sudden left arm pain near elbow lasts seconds no other symptoms. Feels like a dull ache, feeling ok otherwise?

Elbow pain: Difficult to answer here. We need to know is the pain on the inside or the outside of the elbow or is it in the back. Is the pain during activities or when still. Is the area tender or swollen? How long of the symptoms been going on and was there any inciting event? Obviously this could represent tennis elbow or golf elbow or olecranon bursitis.

What causes arm pain starting at inside of elbow radiating up and down the arm causing hand to lose grip followed by fever?

Ulnar nerve: Most likely etiology for pain and weakness of grip involving medial elbow would be ulnar nerve compression in the cubital tunnel. However this is not associated with fever. Follow up with hand surgeon or neurologist.
