2 issues: You have 2 different problems: arm pain and tingling, falling asleep, numb - all suggest nerve compression, possibly in your neck (cervical vertebrae). This would not cause rapid HR but panic would - are you feeling upset about the arm pain? A 24 hour heart recording could help diagnose the 2nd problem. ...Read more

Muscle strain: The description suggests the pain is from a muscle strain. If it was nerve pain the pain would be continuous and wouldn't be relieved by supporting the arm with your other hand. Wrong splint?: If you are wearing the splint and you are getting popping or cracking noises in the wrist, then it is not likely immobilizing the wrist and not helping. Also, carpal tunnel doesn't cause popping or cracking in the wrist. If your numbness is getting worse, then best to have the hand evaluated by a hand surgeon and possibly tested with an emg/ncv study. ...Read more
