Many: Not limited to men! usually fatigue. Could be due to medications taken. Diuretics exacerbate this by causiing low potassium, magnesium and perhaps low calcium. Poor hydration contributes to this. If one has poor circulation to the lower extremities (pvd), leg crams can occur. Sometimes we just don't know why they cramp. You may be helped by some meds. Possible Carpal Tun: There are other possibilities, but the most likely cause for your symptoms is carpal tunnel syndrome. This is the result of compression of the median nerves at the wrists and it is common for people to wake up to "shake out the numbness." i would recommend that you see a neurologist, but while you are waiting you can ice the wrists, try otc ibuprofen, and buy carpal tunnel splints for nighttime. ...Read more

It would be easier: To figure out in person. That not the case, i would look to see if she is flatfooted and if so get her arch supports. Knowing the site where the pain begins is important. It is possible her bone has not fully solidified yet, some docs refer to this as growing pains, when the secondary growth center is still closing.
