Nerve root injury: One of the more common causes of your symptoms is a cervical nerve root injury called cervical radiculopathy. In a man of your age the cause is more likely to be osteoarthritis affecting the foramen (hole where the nerve root exits). The reports of numbness argues against an intrinsic shoulder problem and without antecedent trauma a brachial plexus lesion is unlikely. Please go see your doc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Be seen: The most likely cause is a cervical Radiculopathy, which is basically a pinched nerve in the neck. Peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome are also a possible cause. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Fingers twitching specially left hand and thumb and index fingers, with pain, and the doctor said elbow compression, is twitching normal in elbow compression?
Intrinsic shoulder : Joint problem, such as rotator cuff tear or frozen shoulder joint may be present. The numbness could be indeed "shoulder hand syndrome" or maybe brachial plexus issue associated with the shoulder pain. Perhaps a parsonage turner syndrome or even a thoracic outlet syndrome if symptoms worsen on arm elevation. However, sounds like a mix of joint and plexus. Could these symptoms be related? Joint pain/ inflammation, fatigue, postural hypotension, dry mouth, poor memory/'fog', arm/hand twitches, clumsiness
Possibly: It is possible that you may have one single condition, although it would seem more likely to be a number of conditions that may be contributing. There are a number of inflammatory arthropathies, lupus, for example, that can cause joint complaints but also a variety of systemic manifestations in their more advanced state. Consider being seen. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Assume there is nerve pinch between thoracic and arm w/symptoms-arm pain & finger twitch & hand numb during sleep, will Bikram yoga help or worsen it?
Agree : Dr krauser urges you to put the cart before the horse and get diagnosed. Lots of push to get into alternative therapies by entrepreneurial promoters, but you need to know what is wrong, as things can get worse rather rapidly with certain activities. Sounds like you do have nerve issues, and consider thoracic outlet, but also more peripheral nerve issues. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
