If you really are getting such reads, and of course if you have symptoms, then I recommend you see your M.D. for and ECG and blood work. ...Read more
When you say green tea, does that apply to the hot tea only or do teas like Arizona green tea have similar effects?
Teas like Arizona green tea lose over 90% of their beneficial antioxidants and are loaded with sugars, so are not a healthy choice. Fresh-brewed green tea is MUCH healthier- it is OK to cool it but it should be consumed within hours of being brewed for maximum benefit. You can add a bit of sugar or erythritol.

Please tell me how long it takes for to get diabetes if you drink more than one arizona iced tea everyday?
A lot of people have been saying if you drink arizona/green tea, you will lose weight. Is this true?
I can't speak for: "arizona" brand tea. Some people use green tea extract to assist with weight loss. However, I would not anticipate any significant change unless this is paired with exercise ; a healthy nutrition plan. A study by maastricht university (holland) noted green tea has catechins ; caffeine w inhibition of o-methyl- transferase ; phosphodiesterase which effects thermogenesis ; fat oxidation. The linus. ...Read more

Will be driving from ohio to Arizona. Is it safe considering altitude changes and ascending/descending throughout drive for 30 hours minimum stopping?
No problem: Not an issue, nothing to worry about. The atmospheric pressure changes are no more (probably less) than everyone experiences in a typical airplane flight -- and those changes occur in a few minutes, compared with many hours while driving. If you have a problem with blocked sinuses or ears, there could be minor symptoms, but nothing more -- and even these can be prevented with decongestants. ...Read more

Green Tea & Obesity:
Nope. Absolutely not. In fact in what you describe you have two obvious problems. Caffeine will never lead your body to lose weight. And, honey is sugar. Sugar leads to increasing weight and never to weight loss.
The current fad for 'green tea' extract is just one in a long line of fraud. It is designed to take your money for the 'hope' that you do not need to do the work it takes to lose. ...Read more

It's very dry in arizona. My skin is extremely dry. I'm allergic to everything accept cetaphil. Is there anything else I can use? So itchy!
Different options: To help your skin not be soo dry, try to keep your showers very short and do not use very hot water. Only use soap in your armpits and groin. If you could skip a day of taking a shower that would help your skin very much. There is a brand of moisturizer which is called vanicream or vaniply ointment which you are probably not allergic to. If your drug store does not have it you can order it online. ...Read more

One sip? Not too bad:
Just a sip won't do much - rinse your mouth and brush your teeth and stay away from dark colored stuff until they say it's ok.
On a side note, arizona iced tea has a ton of sugar and is really not good for you. Maybe you can learn to like water while your teeth are heeling! ...Read more
Is it safe to travel long distance while pregnant? I'm 24 weeks pregnant and want to drive from washington to arizona. It will be 1145miles there. Is it safe to take the trip?
A woman with a complicated pregnancy may not want to travel too far from the doctors who know her best, but if you and your pregnancy have been healthy, then it's probably ok. You may want to check with your doctor just to be sure. If you make the trip, a few tips to keep you safe are:
- drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated! None of us wants to stop the car to pee every hour, but when you are in your second and third trimester, staying hydrated will keep you from having contractions and will help to prevent blood clots.
- move around! Sitting in the same place for hours can cause you to develop blood clots in your legs - especially when you're pregnant. You are more likely to form clots just from the hormone changes that come with pregnancy and your heavy uterus is sitting on the main veins from your legs causing slowed flow so there's more chance of a clot forming. Since clots often happen in the groins of pregnant women, doing calf exercises while sitting is not enough! (you're going to be stopping constantly anyway to pee from all that water you're drinking, right?)
- bring your chart. Have your doc give you a copy of your pregnancy records "just in case" something happens while you are away. That will give the doctors caring for you far away from home a huge advantage to have all of your information.
Happy travels and wear your seatbelt! ...Read more
