Could these substances(rosa canina l., gycerol, talcum, curcuma longa l., 95%curcumin, capsaicin, polygonum cuspidatum, resveratrol) damage brain?

Could these substances(rosa canina l., gycerol, talcum, curcuma longa l., 95%curcumin, capsaicin, polygonum cuspidatum, resveratrol) damage brain?

Possibly capsaicin: The curcumin ; resveratrol are anti-inflammatory ; anti-oxidant with neuroprotective effects. There is a study suggesting capsaicin may damage neurons in 10 day old rats. I know of no evidence it can damage brains in humans; many eat peppers without obvious signs of brain damage but capsaicin might cause mild brain damage in some: http://onlinelibrary.Wiley.Com/doi/10.1002/cne.902960310/abstract. ...Read more

How safe are these ingredients to take as "snuff". Caffine, Acoru, Calamus, Hydrastis, Canadensis, Tilia Europea, Paulina Capana, L-taurine, Menthol.

Don't do it!!!!!: Why take/do snuff in 1st place? You're trading one type of cancer risk for another. There's absolutely no health benefit to tobacco in any form, smokeless or otherwise. Just b/c it's natural doesn't make it good for you! S it fine to take glutathione 500mg,milk thistle extract 100mg, alpha lipoic acid 50mg, combined with d alpha tocopheryl acetate 400 iu?

Analysis: Why do you take all these items?. Where did you find such advice? Glutathione is a wonderful anti-oxidant, but does NOT cross into the brain, so of questionable value in bloodstream. Milk thistle extract has questionable benefit in most cases. Alpha lipoic useful in peripheral and central nerve disorders. You are far better off using mixed tocopherols, especially with gamma. Is prospan ivy leaf extract cough syrup safe in pregnancy?

Is prospan ivy leaf extract cough syrup safe in pregnancy?

We simply don't know: While I am inclined to say it is probably ok, we do not have enough information and no formal studies to say one way or another. Demonstrating safety or hazard is much more difficult than you may realize. That is why we always err on the side of caution during pregnancy and take things only when clearly indicated and of proven benefit. ...Read more

Is it safe to take ginseng, vit d, k, calcium + capsicum supplements and cinnamon, dandelion, green, rosehip, chamomile and peppermint teas together?

Is it safe to take ginseng, vit d, k, calcium + capsicum supplements and cinnamon, dandelion, green, rosehip, chamomile and peppermint teas together?

Who knows?: Why would anyone have ever scientifically studied such a combination? Do so, as with all otc supplements, at your own risk. The only one that has been scientifically studied and has actual medical benefits without significant risks is the vitamin d. Calcium can't hurt. The rest are a waste of money and possibly health. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or internet scams. ...Read more

Any interactions?:ashwagandha, magnesium l threonate,taurate,glycinate, fish oil, cdp choline,acetyl l carnitine,alpha lipoic acid, vitamin d,prilosec

Why Supplements?: Since you're 17 years old, I am concerned that you are spending time and money wasting it on the supplements that you listed. While some of the substances are present in a healthy diet, there is actually no reason you should be taking them in the form of a supplement. You should be getting all the vitamin D you need in a healthy diet, and the other things, except Prilosec, are unproven. ...Read more
