Bloody discharge: Most of the times it's due to a benign papilloma, a tumor that grows within the duct. Bloody nipple discharge in someone under 40 is caused by cancer in less than 3-5% of cases so i would not be too worried but certainly agree with having it checked. Best to you. ...Read more

I have what i believe to be an infected montgomery gland on my right areola. Very painful, how do I treat it?

Antibiotics: Best treated with oral antibiotics if the area is red, painful, and swollen. As an adjunct, local heat would help. If there is any trapped pus (like a pimple) then opening that pocket so it could drain would be helpful. Probably needs professional evaluation so a prescription for the antibiotics can be given to you. ...Read more
